Technical Team (Team Member- Administration Support- PA Powerpoint)

To visually communicate news, events and meetings to the congregation via a pre-service PowerPoint.

Responsible To: Office Manager (Jean Orritt)
Time Committment: 1 to 1.5 hours per week
As part of this role a volunteer would have the following responsibilities:
  • Liaise with the Vicar and the Office Manager to determine what news, events and meetings need to be included in the pre-service PowerPoint, on a weekly basis
  • Ensure PowerPoint presentation is loaded onto the Church PC ready for Sunday services
  • Ensure the desktop of the PC is kept tidy including deleting of previous pre-service PowerPoints
  • Checking the Church diary and "Bridge" magazine for forthcoming events which may need to be advertised
  • Liaise with Team Coordinators throughout the Church on a regular basis to check if they have news or events that may need publicising

A volunteer in this role would require some or all of the following attributes:
  • Must be computer literate, including proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Able to work creatively using graphics and fonts
  • Imperative that the volunteer is able to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Reliable

In order for someone to be able to perform this role the following training and support will be given:
  • Initial training will be given by the Technical Coordinator (Phil Marshall) when commencing role
  • Ongoing training as necessary to ensure development of familiarity and confidence
  • Further training as necessary when updated hardware/software is introduced
  • Office Manager available to mentor as necessary
