Our wish at JCs is to provide an environment that adds value to the lives of young people, helps them develop as individuals, allows them the opportunity to understand the importance of Christian values and prepares them for their journey into adulthood.

We have an exciting programme of events which is balanced with learning about the challenges of being a Christian in the world today. We try to make sure that our meetings are fun and relevant. The members are given the chance to contribute to the organisation and running of activities and events. In fact the initials JCs were chosen by some of our members. It was a flexible name, John’s Club / Junior Christians, which fitted with our purpose.

We meet on a Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 pm. We are open to children in Years 7 and 8.

JCs also meet on a Sunday morning at ‘Church View’, just across the road from church on School Lane.

We begin our sessions at 10.15 am and go back to church for the end of the service (approx. 11.30 am). This is a smaller, informal group, who love to eat, have fun and talk about how we are getting along as young Christians in the world today. We look at how, through our relationship with Jesus, we can influence the relationships that we have with our friends and families. We talk about lots of the issues that we face in school and within our everyday lives.
