Prior to moving to Burscough in Sep 2008, Richard was Curate in a large church in Ashtead, Surrey. Before training for ministry at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford, Richard spent fifteen years as a management consultant and senior manager in three organisations. Keen on the arts, current affairs and sports, he particularly enjoys spending time with people (especially discussing Christianity) and lamenting the fortunes of West Ham Utd and Harlequins! He is married Jo and they have two children.

Brian came to faith at the age of 40. He took early retirement from his secular employment and studied for the Ordained Local Ministry, which culminated in ordination in the year 2000. Brian is involved in all aspects of parish ministry, but his focus is on pastoral care, particularly to the bereaved. Brian is married to Sue with 2 married daughters and 4 grandchildren. Brian's favourite verse from Scripture is 1 Timothy Chapter 1 Verse 12 - "I give thanks to Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength for my work. I thank him for considering me worthy and appointing me to serve him" - GNB.

I have lived in Scarisbrick for over 20 years I am married to Paul and have two grown up sons. I trained on a part time basis with the Southern North West Teaching Program, this enabled me to remain at home and work whilst studying. I will remain in my work place as a police officer, where I work on a part time basis as a Safer Schools Officer, building relationships with children, educating them on the dangers of crime involvement and helping them to keep safe. I will be inaugurated as a Chaplain for Police Officers on the 20th July. I love to spend time with family and friends, read, cook go to the theatre and cinema.

Growing up in Goosnargh, Joanna came to Ormskirk to train as a teacher at Edge Hill. After teaching in Bolton & then Parbold, Joanna took up her post at St John's in 2004.She loves spending time with her family (husband Phil & their two boys) & friends and enjoys being in the outdoors.

Until a move to Wigan in 2009, Christine lived and worked in Burscough for 22 year. After some years working in schools Christine had a change of career in 2010 becoming a Youth Worker for St John's where she has worshipped for many years. She has two sons, and when not chauffeuring them around likes nothing better than curling up with a good book.

Before moving to Burscough many years ago Jenny lived and served as a vicar's wife in Liverpool. Her current role as Pastoral Care Coordinator means that she is responsible for ensuring that everyone at St John's and throughout our village community is able to receive the appropriate pastoral care and love of Jesus whenever they are in need. Jenny has four children and five grandchildren and loves family, travel and Liverpool FC.

Jean grew up in Halsall, held secretarial posts in Southport before working at Priory High School in Burscough for 10 happy years. She came to work in administration at St. John's in 1997. Jean is married to David, has one daughter and two granddaughters. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, listening to music, visiting the cinema and art galleries, cooking, walking, wildlife, reading, holidays, floral art, fine weather gardening and various needlecrafts when time allows!
